Research Interests:
Dr. Grossman is medical director for preventive care for
Group Health and a senior investigator at Group Health Center for Health
Studies. He is also a professor of health services and adjunct professor of
pediatrics at the University of Washington (UW). Prior to joining the Center
for Health Studies, he was director of the Harborview Injury Prevention and
Research Center, and co-director of the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical
Scholars Program at UW. Dr. Grossman’s major research interests lie in the
prevention of injuries to children and adolescents, especially in American
Indian and Alaska Native communities. He has special interests in the
prevention of adolescent suicide and in behaviors around storage of
firearms.
