Katherine M. Newton, PhD
Associate Director for Research and
Senior Investigator

Research Interests:
Dr. Newton is a chronic disease epidemiologist whose research program is focused on mid-life women's health including menopause, hormone replacement therapy, cardiovascular disease in women, and diabetes. She is the principal investigator for a study of changes in attitudes about hormone therapy and she recently completed an NIH-funded randomized trial of alternative therapies for menopause symptoms. Dr. Newton is the associate director for external research at Group Health Center for Health Studies.
