Abstract: We give a short introduction to some of the simpler
nonparametric Bayesian priors, such as Dirichlet and
Polya tree distributions, and discuss their limitations.
Two example data analyses are presented, one in which a
prior is put on a space of stochastically ordered tumor count
distributions, another in which we develop a nonparametric
random effects model for tumor location along an intestine.
