Research Clinic
Through its state-of-the art clinic, Group Health Center for Health
Studies participates in several large, national clinical trials.
The Center's clinic is located near Downtown Seattle at the Metropolitan
Park East Building. With nearly 2,500 square feet of space, it features four
clinical examination rooms, five interview rooms, one bone densitometry
room, a multi-purpose exam room for physical assessment, and a comfortable
waiting room and reception area. It also has a laboratory with a blood-draw
station and three storage rooms. The laboratory is set up to collect and
process blood and urine samples, prepare samples for shipment, and store
samples. Simple laboratory tests, such as urine dipsticks, are completed on
site. The clinic is also equipped with a centrifuge, a stadiometer, room
temperature and refrigerated centrifuges, a -70 degree freezer, -20 degree
freezers, refrigerators, ECG machine, and a bone densitometer.
